24. N(octua). laevis alis incumbentibus: anticis fuscis albo veenofis , poftlcis albo nigroque variis.
Habitat in Siam Muf. Dom. Banks.
Statura omnino N. Chione. Antennae fetaceae nigrae, Palpi fului puncto baseos apicisque nigro, Caput fului Thorax fuluus nigro puncatus. Abdomen fuluum fupra Iinea dorfali, fubtus vtrinque lilea :0 laterali punctorurn nigrorum. Alae anticae fupra fufcae margine.interiori neruisque albis. Subrus fufcae macula media alba, Posticae variegatae.

24. A smooth Noctua, with incumbent wings; fore wings dark brown with white veins, rear wings alternating white and black.
Lives in Siam. In the museum of Mr. Banks.
General aspect like that of N. chione. The antennae are setaceous, black. Palps yellowish-brown, with a black spot at their base and tip. The head is yellowish brown. The thorax is yellowish brown with black spots. Abdomen yellowish brown with a dorsal line and ventrally at either side with a row of black spots. Upper side of fore wings dark brown, with the inner margin and veins white; underside dark brown with a central white spot. Rear wings variegated.
